There are many things we identify with during life: our career, partner, children, or a personal passion. Many of these things can shift from something we identify with into our identity.
Written for those struggling with chronic pain; a daily prayer/ meditation of encouragement:
I accept my body as is today.
It is not the pain, not the suffering that I embrace, but the journey I am on to health. I do not judge myself, my body, or my pain. I do not resent, regret, or hold unforgiveness toward my body. Instead I breathe love and acceptance into my wounded parts.
